Houdini's Last Trick at The Vaults in Waterloo

Have you ever wondered how escape artists manage to set themselves free, or think you've got what it takes to do it yourself? Escapemobile, Houdini's former apprentices, have come to London to host Houdini's Last Trick. This is an opportunity for the public to challenge themselves to escape from various traps by solving tricks, puzzles and hidden messages. This immersive and different experience makes for an exciting weekend activity to take part in with your friends as you can book in groups of upto five people. Festival no. 6 at Tate Britain in Millbank

This Friday evening, the award winning Festival no. 6 will be hosting a unique evening of music, theatre and stand up comedy at Tate Britain, which is only moments away from our Westminster office. There will be performances from the 2016 breakthrough act Blossoms, as well as appearances from Charlotte Church, comedian Sara Pascoe and poetry from Dr John Cooper Clarke. Guests will have intimate, after hours access to the Paul Nash and David Hockney exhibitions as well as the chance to take part in a wine tasting and eat delicious food. Tickets can be bought before the event.

La Ronde at The Bunker in London Bridge

Not far from our London Bridge office located on Bermondsey Street is The Bunker, London's newest theatre outside of the West End which has been transformed from an abandoned parking garage. This weekend Max Gil's five star rated version of La Ronde will be coming to The Bunker and is a must-see. Only four actors will take on a play with a cast of ten and their roles will be selected by Roulette on the night. This play embraces life's game of chance and the blindness of desire and fortune. With various performances throughout the weekend, this is a completely different sort of trip to the theatre.

Victorian Surgery Talk at The Old Operating Theatre in London Bridge

Are you fascinated by the history of medicine? Or perhaps you enjoy the gruesome stories of how medicine was carried out in the Victorian era? The Old Operating Theatre, which is found in the attic of an English Baroque Church, dates back to the 18th Century and was once part of St. Thomas' Hospital in 1822. On Saturdays, it hosts the Victorian Surgery Talk. This is where the public can view a demonstration of how operations were carried out in this era, before the use of anaesthetics, antiseptics or hand-washing. They can also take in all of the original architecture of the building and have a guided tour. An Afternoon with Glenda Jackson at The Cinema Museum in Kennington

Glenda Jackson is known for her roles in various films such as Women In Love, A Touch of Class, Mary, Queen of Scots and Sunday Bloody Sunday. She has also had many TV appearances including those much loved moments with Morecambe and Wise. If you are a fan of her work, The Cinema Museum in Kennington will be hosting a live interview with her which is open to the public on Sunday. Accompanied by imagery and video clips, they will discuss in depth her illustrious film and television career. The Dark by Nick Makoha and FUEL at the Oval House Theatre in Kennington

If you're looking for something a little different this weekend, moments away from our Kennington office is the Oval House Theatre. This weekend, the Oval House Theatre is hosting the award-winning poet Nick Makoha. For four nights, this one-person live literature experience, The Dark, written and performed by Nick will tell the true story of how he and his mother fled their homeland of Uganda in 1978 after dealing with eight years of civil war. Nick's poetic re-telling of his own experience and of 9 others affected, will powerfully show how they coped after finding themselves exiled from their birthplace and the discovery of their new country.
