What’s on this weekend: Adams Antiques Fair, The Silent Disco and Bunny

Residents of Kennington properties flock to the chocolate truffle making workshop in Stockwell

Adams Antiques Fair at The Royal Horticultural Halls in Victoria

Just a short stroll from our Westminster office, you will find the Adams Antiques Fair at The Royal Horticultural Halls this Sunday. The longest running antiques fair in London, Adams Antiques has been running since the 1970's, with over 140 stalls selling quality antiques at each event. Matthew Adams founded this fair after years of supporting his teacher's income by trading watches, bags, clothes and accessories and has been running successful antiques, vintage fashion and retro events in London ever since. He has now established himself as by far the most successful one-day fairs organiser in central London. The fair opens its doors at 10am on Elverton Street.

The View from The Shard Silent Disco in London Bridge

Do you feel like going for a dance this weekend but are looking for something a little different? Time Out and The View from The Shard have joined together to put on a fun Saturday night out with amazing views of London. At the top of this world famous building, there will be three DJ's playing the very best in pop, rock and party favourites all through your own set of personal headphones, so you can choose to flip between each channel as often as you like. Removing your headphones during the event will be a shock, as the room will be silent, apart from the embarrassing out of tune singing you'll find your friends doing. The Silent Disco will be taking place on Saturday and our London Bridge office nearby is open so if you arrive early and are looking to buy a London Bridge property, drop in.

Bunny at The White Bear Theatre in Kennington

Bunny, a play by Jack Thorne, is set on the streets of Luton and focusses on the life of Katie, a young girl struggling to find her place in a modern world lacking intimacy and connection. After her boyfriend is attacked, she is thrust into a world of council estates and concrete jungles and is then forced to decide what to do with her future. Follow her on her journey as she tries to overcome barriers in one evening. The White Bear Theatre can be found in The White Bear Pub in Kennington, only a two minute walk from Kennington tube station and six minutes from our Kennington office on Kennington Lane.

Who Are We? Project at Tate Modern in Southwark

Not far from our London Bridge office is the Tate Modern and this weekend they are hosting a cross-platform event, designed to allow the co-creation, co-production and exchange of knowledge between artists, academics, activists and diverse publics around the multiple crises of identity and belonging in Europe and the UK. The Who Are We? Project will focus on identity, belonging, migration and citizenship through the arts and through audience participation. Artists contributing to the event through activities and installations come from many different countries from Europe and beyond and will be inviting the public to engage and participate in thought and discussion.

Adults Chocolate Truffles Making Workshop at Chocolate Museum in Stockwell

Easter is almost upon us, and for many, this means eating a lot of chocolate. What about making your own chocolates this year? The Chocolate Museum in Stockwell is offering a three hour class organised by Melange Chocolates this weekend, where you will have the opportunity to learn in-depth about chocolate processes and how to use professional techniques. As well as this, you'll have the chance to taste and make your own truffles and learn how to prepare, flavour and shape the fillings whilst decorating the chocolates with colourful ingredients. What better way to spend a Saturday afternoon? If you're looking to rent Kennington property in the surrounding area, drop into our Kennington office, which is only a short tube ride away.

Family Technical Theatre Day at The National Theatre in Southbank

Are you looking to do something a little different with the kids this weekend? Does the family enjoy outings to the theatre? The National Theatre on Southbank is giving the public the opportunity to take part in a practical workshop where the whole family can discover and learn about the science and technology behind productions at the theatre and all the hard work that goes into setting the scene properly. Families will go on a backstage tour before learning how the lighting and sound design work from a professional technician. They will then be able to have a go at creating their own designs and bring a scene to life. If you are in the area and interesting in looking at Westminster properties to rent, pop into our Westminster office which is a short walk across the river.

If you're interested in finding out more about future events in Westminster, London Bridge, Kennington and the surrounding areas, feel free to drop by any of our nearest offices - we'll be glad to provide you with a list. We can arrange viewings to properties for sale or properties for rent within walking distance of some of these popular venues.
