What’s On This Weekend: Zip World London, Lambeth Country Show & Festival of Wellbeing

Jazz Brunch at Tate Britain in Millbank

If you’re looking for something fun but also relaxing to do this weekend, then head to Tate Britain on Saturday where they will be hosting a Jazz Brunch at the Rex Whistler terrace lawn. Guests can enjoy plenty of delicious dishes from the restaurants seasonal menu as well as everyone’s brunch favourites. You can even choose to have a picnic hamper with an amazing Bloody Mary cocktail on the lawn and all of this is whilst enjoying a live three-piece Jazz trio performing throughout the evening. This is only a short walk along the Thames from our Westminster office. Drop in and say hello to our team if you’re interested in looking at properties to rent or properties to buy in the area.

Zip World London in Archbishop’s Park in Lambeth

Zip World is coming to the Archbishop’s Park on Lambeth Palace Road. If you’re a thrill seeker and love the feeling of wind in your hair, then this is a great way to spend an afternoon this weekend. Catch never-before seen views of London’s iconic skyline from 100 feet above (the equivalent of 9 double decker buses!) as you hurtle along the 225-metre zip wire. The aerial view of the London Eye, Houses of Parliament, Big Ben and the Shard will be specatular. Only a very short bus ride from our Kennington office, drop if you’re keen to find out more about properties to rent or properties to buy in the area.

Lambeth Country Show in Brockwell Park

The Lambeth Country Show is coming to Brockwell Park this weekend and with over 170,000 people attending last year, this year is set to be bigger and better than ever as it looks to its 43rd year! There will be all the traditional attractions of a country show as well as many other things. There will be sheep dog and owl displays, home grown vegetable and flower competitions and numerous craft and food stalls to entertain people with. There will be plenty of music over the weekend too with everything from afro-beat, disco, folk to ska, soul and reggae. There will be an eclectic mix of local bands and talent throughout the weekend and this will be a great day out for the whole family!

Festival of Wellbeing in Bermondsey Square

The famous Festival of Wellbeing will be coming to Bermondsey Square this weekend in order to raise money for the local cancer care charity Dimbleby Cancer Care, who provide practical and psychological support to people living with cancer as well as their families and carers. The festival celebrates the power of healthy life choices and complementary therapies and treatments. There will be free activities for all ages and yoga, mindfulness and meditation for those in need of some enlightenment! There will also be workshops in head massage, aromatherapy and dance. Come and join this event to learn more about living a holistic lifestyle, whilst supporting this local charity. Only a short journey from our London Bridge office, if you’re interested in looking at properties to rent or properties to buy in the area, drop in and say hello to our team.

Variety Evening at Welsh Chapel in Bermondsey

The Borough Welsh Congregration Chapel in Bermondsey will be hosting a special Variety Evening in support of the victims and families of the London Bridge attack. Only £10 on the door will get you wine and dinner included as well as entertainment for the whole evening. There will be jazz performers, opera, acoustic covers as well as the Borough Welsh Choir of course. If you’ve never visited this Chapel before, it is special because the services are bi-lingual in Welsh and English and they have a strong commitment to the local and global community, often raising money for a wide range of different charities. Go a long on Saturday to help support some amazing artists for this poignant cause.

If you’re interested in finding out more about future events in Westminster, London, Kennington and the surrounding areas, feel free to drop by any of our offices – we’ll be glad to provide you with a list. We can arrange viewings of properties for sale and properties for rent within walking distance of some of these popular venues.
