Coming to The Other Palace Theatre this weekend in Victoria, is the Queen’s Nose staged reading. This is part of Aria Entertainment’s From Page To Stage festival of new musicals, concerts, showcases and staged readings. This story is about Harmony Parker, a 12 year old with big ideas that nobody agrees with. Uncle Ginger introduces her to another world where she can live her dreams however she finds herself needed to settle some scores first. Based on the 1995 BBC television series and novel by Dick King-Smith, this is a great play for the whole family. Only a short journey from our Westminster office. The Learned Society of Extraordinary Objects Exhibition at Somerset House

Somerset House is hosting a special exhibition on their Terrace Rooms called The Learned Society of Extraordinary Objects. It focusses on the power of imagination, storytelling and narrative within design and how extraordinary objects can be presented with extra ordinary stories. 30 contemporary designers, makers and artists including British sculptor Richard Wentworth, ceramicists Richard Slee, Scottish Indian artist Jasleen Kaur and jewellery maker Hans Stofer have been invited to contribute objects to this collection and they will show the playful and surprising modifications that have been made from familiar objects that we encounter in our daily lives. This exhibition is to reveal the extraordinary possibilities of everyday objects. This exhibition will be open to the public all weekend.

Lambeth Palace Garden Open Day, Lambeth

Every summer the Archbishop of Canterbury opens the gates of SE1’s largest private garden to the public. Having taken place once a month throughout the summer; this weekend is your last chance to visit before the Autumn. Tea, coffee and soft drinks will be available on the day as well as plants from the garden, Lambeth Palace honey and some souvenirs. This month's event is in support of Bermondsey-based charity Bede House. If you’re ever wondered what hides behind the garden walls, this is your chance! Only a very journey from our Kennington office, drop in and say hello if you’re keen to find out more about properties to rent or properties to buy in the surrounding area.

The Craft Exhibition in Vauxhall

The Gasworks in Vauxhall are hosting the first ever solo exhibition by Monira Al Qadiri. Al Qadiri shows through her semi-biographical works of the unlikely stories that she and her sister created and elaborated during their early years as children living in Kuwait. She uses sculptures, videos and sound works that portray international diplomacy as an alien conspiracy. They depict the rituals of diplomacy and the rise of nationalism and political populism. The central work in the exhibition called The Craft, asks the question, “Were my parents conspiring with aliens behind my back?” and explores the crumbling reality, paranoia and doubt that come with it. This is a very thought provoking exhibition and one that is well worth the visit this weekend if you’re looking for something to challenge you.

Bankside Summer Festival in London Bridge

Transition Exhibition in Southwark

If you’re looking for something to do in the Southwark area this Sunday, head to the Transition Exhibition that is being held at the Menier Gallery for three weeks. This is a showcase of over 30 emerging Middle Eastern Artists reflecting on the ways transition has taken place in their life. The display ranges from fine art, calligraphy, photography, video, installations, sculpture and shows the artists exploring topics and issues that shape the lives of Middle Eastern artists both locally and internationally. This is a refreshing and diverse selection of art brought together in order to encourage a dialogue about connection and the difficulties of geographical, personal and artistic change. There will also be workshops and talks to accompany the exhibition so it is well worth a visit.
