London's Christmas starts here

Residents of Westminster property flock to the spectacular christmas markets for mulled wine and minced pies

As the nights draw in and the wintry chill intensifies, most of us are eager to get home as soon as possible at the end of a working day. But at this time of the year, there's one thing calculated to make us want to linger longer on the capitals streets - London's magical Christmas markets.

On December 2nd, staff from our Westminster office (who arent already showing clients around fantastic properties in SW1 postcodes) will be headed in the direction of Westminster Cathedral for the Craftisan Christmas Market taking place outside. As the name suggests, stallholders will be selling a range of yummy artisan foods and festive craft items to get you in the mood for Christmas.

The team from our London Bridge office is already planning a trip to Christmas by the River at London Bridge City, which opens on 30th November. This traditional Christmas market extends along Queens Walk, from Hays Galleria and London Bridge City Pier to The Scoop at More London, overlooking London landmarks such as Tower Bridge, the Tower of London and the City of London.

Our staff are further spoilt for choice, with late night shopping on the street itself on Friday 6th December (including a festive antique and vintage Christmas market, open until 11pm); the Tate Modern's Christmas Market, where you can browse for hand-crafted gifts, children's toys and unique pieces and the winter fun on offer at the Southbank Centre, now transformed into a Nordic wonderland, complete with a giant Norwegian tree and Scandi-themed decorations. Additionally, the South Bank Winter Festival has already started and will run until 8th January.

It's great to be right in the heart of London during all these festive celebrations. If you'd like to make your home in a beautifully appointed central London property close to some of the capital's best winter attractions, give us a call. We'll be happy to show you round a great selection of apartments and houses for sale or rent, and you may just catch us afterwards, sneaking a glass of mulled wine and a mince pie before we head home.
