What’s On This Weekend: The Lehman Trilogy, Sea Creatures Tour & Magic Realism: Art In Weimar Germany

The Lehman Trilogy on Southbank

Playing until late October in the Lyttleton Theatre at The National Theatre is the story of a family and a company that changed the world, told in three parts on a single evening. Ben Power’s English version of Stefano Massini’s vast and poetic play, The Lehman Trilogy, is being directed by Sam Mendes of Skyfall and King Lear. On a cold September morning in 1844 a young man from Bavaria stands on a New York dockside joined by his two brothers and dreaming of a new life in a new world. 163 years later, the firm they established – Lehman Brothers – spectacularly collapses into bankruptcy, and triggers the largest financial crisis in history. Only a short walk from our Westminster office, if you’re interested in looking at properties to rent or properties to buy in the area, feel free to drop in and hello to our team who would be happy to help.
