What’s On This Weekend: Frank Bowling Exhibition, White Pearl & The Music of Zimmer vs Williams

Frank Bowling Exhibition in Millbank

Born is Guyana, Frank Bowling studied at the Royal College of Art alongside David Hockney and R.B. Kitai. Over the course of 60 years he developed a visionary approach that fuses abstraction with personal memories. This new exhibition taking place at Tate Britain is the first major retrospective celebrating this artist, who constantly pushes the possibilities of paint. It will offer you a chance to experience the entirety of Bowling’s long career and it showcases his sensual use of colour and bold experimentation. If you are near our Westminster office and are interested in looking at properties to rent or properties to buy in the area, feel free to drop in and say hello to our team who would be happy to help.

White Pearl Play in Sloane Square

White Pearl is the latest offering on at the Royal Court Theatre in Sloane Square. Written by Anchuli Felicia King and directed by Nana Dakin, this play tells a contemporary and timely story of a small start-up company whose latest skin cream advert goes viral globally – but for entirely the wrong reasons. As the YouTube view numbers spiral, the anger builds on social media and journalists begin to cover the story, this international PR nightmare needs to be taken down before America wakes up. This corporate satire addresses the issue of racism in Asian society as this Singaporean company try to keep the leak under wraps. Catch this play before 15th June.

The Curious Case of Benjamin Button Musical in Southwark

Writer-director Jethro Compton has brought F Scott Fitzgerald’s 1922 short story The Curious Case of Benjamin Button back to life again with this beguiling musical adaptation of the 2008 film by the same name. Born in the most unusual circumstances, Benjamin Button is an old man, not at the end of his life, but at the beginning. Trapped in a body where he doesn’t belong, he dreams of freedom and adventure. Not too far from our London Bridge office, drop in and say hello to our team if you’re interested in looking at properties to rent or properties to buy in the area.
